J. Curtis ("Curt") Brewer is Sr. Executive Vice President of Burke, Lawton, Brewer & Burke, LLC and a Portfolio Manager with BLB&B Advisors, LLC. Curt has more than forty years of investment management experience, having joined the firm in 1968. His primary responsibilities include managing institutional and individual investment portfolios and conduction securities research.

Prior to joining the firm, Curt spent twelve years with Pennwalt Corp., last serving as a marketing manager for the company's broad array of steel mill products and equipment. Curt also spent six years as a tank unit commander in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Captain, with service in Korea.

Curt currently serves and a trustee of Chestnut Hill HealthCare, a Community Health Systems member hospital. He is a former Board Chair of the Springfield Rehabilitation Hospital and Assisted-Living Center, and for many years has advocated on behalf of children's health care issues through his volunteer service with the American Hospital Association. Curt is also the Treasurer/Director of Boardwalk Securities Corp. and previously served as the President of the Montgomery County Board of Prison Inspectors. A former Secretary General of the Military Order of Foreign Wars of the United States, Curt currently serves as Secretary/Treasurer of the Board of Trustees of the Pennsylvania Commandry's Scholarship and Historic Preservation Foundation.

Curt is a graduate of Bowdoin College (B.A. 1956) in Brunswick, Maine.
