Robert N. Phillips, Jr. is Executive Vice President of Burke, Lawton, Brewer & Burke, LLC and Senior Portfolio Strategist with BLB&B Advisors, LLC. Bob joined the firm in 2008, bringing with him almost thirty years of experience in the securities industry.  Prior to joining Burke Lawton Brewer & Burke, Bob served as the Chairman and CEO of Walnut Asset Management for over eighteen years. Prior to this, Bob was an Executive Vice President with and member of the Executive Committee at W.H. Newbold’s Son & Co, Inc. and a Vice President with Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith, Inc. where he opened and managed the Doylestown office. Earlier in his career, Bob worked for Procter & Gamble as a Unit Sales Manager and for Johnson & Johnson as a Director of Field Sales.

Bob is currently a member of the Philadelphia Securities Association and an active member of the community. He served on the Board of Directors of the Central Bucks YMCA and the Doylestown Athletic Association and is a past president of the Doylestown Country Club. Bob earned a B.A. in Economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and completed an Advanced Course in Investment Decisions and Behavioral Finance at Harvard University.
